Nine Carlisle United fans were arrested at today's League Two derby versus Hartlepool United.
Cumbria Police say that the fans were arrested for a "variety of offences" at Hartlepool's Victoria Park stadium.
However, it appears that the game was completed without any major crowd trouble and officers praised the vast majority of the travelling supporters.
More than 1,000 Cumbrians made the trip over to the north east for the match which finished 1-1.
Blues officials had warned fans they could face football bans if they caused trouble at the game. They urged fans to roar their team on but not to misbehave.
In the past in fixtures between these two teams fans have been arrested for possession of pyrotechnics - flares - public disorder, invading the pitch and drunkenness.
Great support from the travelling @officialcufc fans, apart from the few that let club down, 9 cufc fans arrested for a variety of offences
