One of the biggest fires to hit Cumbria in recent years reignited, three weeks after it broke out.
The fire service was called to tackle a fire at SIS Pitches last night.
Adrian Holmes, station manager at Workington, said it was something he was expecting, due to the nature of the material and its ability to retain heat.
A report from the fire service said: "At 5.07pm, firefighters were called to approximately 10 tonnes of artificial turf on fire at a commercial premises on Glasson Industrial Estate, Maryport.
"The crews used foam to extinguish the fire and one hose reel jet. They were in attendance for approximately two hours."
