A man and a woman have appeared before a crown court judge accused of robbery.
Barry John Woolf, 35, and his co-defendant Kelly Bonner, 26, who are both of no fixed address, denied carrying out the robbery near to the town's St Michael's Church in Workington on July 19.
The alleged victim was Jamie Davies.
Woolf also pleaded not guilty to intentionally wounding Dennis Rigg on the same date and two counts of possessing a bladed article - a Stanley knife - on July 19.
Both defendants were remanded in custody.
Judge Barbara Forrester set a trial date for the week starting November 6.
Woolf appeared in court in person and was represented by defence barrister Jamie Baxter while Bonner, represented by barrister Lucy Wright, appeared via video link from the prison where she is being held on remand.
