GRITTERS were out on some of Cumbria's roads overnight as temperatures dipped below freezing.
Cumbria County Council Highways team were due to treat some of the priority roads in the north of the county.
On its website the authority said Alston would received full treatment following rain stopping at midnight while high ground in the Brampton area would be treated from about 5am.
