An independent cinema in the Lake District is launching regular matinee screenings after a successful trial.
Keswick Alhambra has added 2pm screenings on Saturdays and Mondays to its weekly programme from March.
Co-owner Carol Rennie, who recently joined her father Tom in the business, said: "While we’ve previously tended to show matinees only in holiday periods, we feel there is enough of a local market to cater for those who might prefer to visit the cinema earlier in the day throughout the year."
The Saturday matinee showing will usually be a family-orientated film, with Monday's selection tailored to an older audience.
