RAIL passengers are facing disruption on Virgin and TransPennine Express services through Cumbria.
A broken down train between Carlisle and Lockerbie is causing disruption to journeys and services may be cancelled, delayed by up to 90 minutes or revised.
Affected routes are:
- TransPennine Express - between Manchester Airport and Edinburgh/ Glasgow Central
- Virgin Trains - London Euston to Glasgow Central / Edinburgh
Disruption is expected until 3pm.
Travel advice on National Rail states: "TransPennine Express customers are advised that replacement road transport has been requested for anyone that has been de-trained at Lockerbie.
"If you are travelling with TransPennine Express, you may use Virgin Trains and Virgin Trains East Coast on all reasonable routes.
"Two coaches have also been requested to operate from Glasgow towards Carlisle."
