A community boxing club which came close to closing earlier this year is holding its AGM next week as its resurgence continues.
Wigton Amateur Boxing Club, based in Water Street, looked like it might shut down in January after a number of committee members resigned following an internal dispute.
The blow came just weeks after the club had secured vital funding and new volunteers so it could continue.
But those at the club, which has a thriving junior section, managed to steady the ship and will be looking ahead to their next 12 months at the meeting.
It's being held in the Cumberland Suite of the Market Hall on Tuesday (11 JULY) from 7.30pm.
A number of positions will be up for selection, including chairman, vice chairman and treasurer.
Everyone is welcome to attend.
