WE shared the news that a Carlisle dad has talked of his phenomenal experience after reaching the semi-finals of this year's Masterchef series.

It was confirmed last month by the News & Star that Tom Johnston, a 41-year-old sales manager, would appear on the new series.

Our readers congratulated him on his success. 

Andrea Mcrobert said: "Hopefully they’ll do another comeback week next series and you can return, I was cheering you on from the sofa from the wee Burgh of Lochmaben. You should be incredibly proud."
