Ministry of Sound regular Natasha Kitty Katt will be making her debut appearance in Carlisle next weekend.

The Scottish-born DJ visits Circle Bar on Saturday August 4 to headline a free summer party.

A record company founder and host of the popular The Ghetto Disco Show, Natasha was introduced to rare soul, funk, boogie and disco from a young age, counting Northern Soul artists among her biggest influences.

Since 2012, she has been busy spinning her eclectic blend of soul and disco-centric music at clubs and festivals including Southport Weekender 52, Suncebeat in Croatia, Soul Heaven Ocean Beach in Ibiza, and the world famous Amsterdam Dance Event, among many others, and had the privilege of spinning alongside the likes of Louie Vega, Joey Negro, and Danny Krivit.

Her fortnightly radio show on Starpoint Radio has developed a reputation for high quality interviews with artists such as Margie Joseph, Leroy Burgess, James Mason, Lenny Williams and Melba Moore, as well as showcasing rare disco, boogie and modern soul alongside the occasional classic and the higher quality end of the disco edit genre.

Following on from the radio show's success, Natasha and her father Dennis launched Ghetto Disco Records last year. With incredible artists on the line up and high demand, this label has taken off.

Natasha has also been busy in the studio recording original material, as well as a series of rare disco edits, set to be released on limited edition vinyl.

The event on Saturday 4 starts at 9pm and entrance is free. Douglas and Mike from the Dead Horse Gang will be providing the support.
