OWNERS' COMMENTS

When we come back from a walk in summer, we sit in the courtyard with the bright sun on our faces and enjoy a nice fresh drink with a firepit whilst hearing the birds at dusk. When we come back from a cold walk in winter, we warm up with a nice warm cup of hot chocolate in front of the open fire.

There's a family of peacocks that can be seen at the front of the house and we have seen the family grow in the last 4 years. Many birds come to the bird feeder in our rear patio including, blue tits, blackbirds, sparrows, and wood pigeons.

The house is barely overlooked and the neighbourhood is very good. We have never had problems and many neighbours have known us for the last two decades and behind the house you can find allotments which are used by 3 or 4 older gentlemen who are very kind.

There are many nice walks around Maryport, especially with dogs. You have the SSSI at the coast, the prom and beach, woodlands just a 10-minute walk away from the house, and a river walk around an open field. There is a cycle path from Maryport prom to Allonby where you pass Crosscanonby Carr and Milefortlet. There's the Aquarium and West Coast Indoor Karting as well as many shops in the town centre such as Lidl and B&M. There is a festival every year and a boat frequently brings fresh fish.

There are great transport links with the bus stop only one minute s walk away and the train station just a 15-minute walk from the house. The Lake District is just 30 minutes away.
