BIRKETT Benjamin Ben's family want to thank everyone for their sympathy, love and support during this sad time. We are particularly grateful to Siobhan Milligan of Co-op Funeralcare for her comforting professionalism, and to June Hearsey for conducting the service and composing a fine eulogy to Ben, full of lovely memories of his life with his late wife Beryl and their family. A special thanks to Linda Swatts for a truly beautiful floral tribute to Ben, crafted with love, and to the Corner House for their delightful catering. We are grateful to staff of the Pennine Lodge Care Home and of Elm C ward at the Cumberland Infirmary for their care in Ben's most recent years and days. Alzheimer's Research UK is benefitting from donations in Ben's memory.
