CROMPTON John Thomas Peacefully at home in Alston on Tuesday, 21st September 2021 aged 77 after a 17 month argument with cancer. Adored husband of Alison and dad of the late Louise, dearly loved brother of Rodney and his partner Carol, cherished uncle of Lauren and her husband Pete and much loved great-uncle of Freya and Joshua. He chose to leave at the end of summer. The enormous hole he leaves in the lives of his extended family is echoed by the loss felt by his many friends and colleagues. John opted for a direct cremation and so a memorial service will be held at a later date in keeping with his wishes.
