GRINDELL "Jack" John Nelson Born 13th December 1931, Retired Royal Navy Fleet Chief and former Carlisle City Council Superintendant, died at Pennine Lodge Carlisle on 14th May 2020 aged 88 after an illness bravely born. Jack is survived by son Mark, daughter-in-law Deborah and daughter Anne from his former marriage to the late Sheila, grandchildren Jonathan Richard, David and Becca, great-grandchildren Skye and Edward and cousins, Marilyn, Shaun and Emma. He was close friends with the late Mary, his cousin Marilyn and her husband Peter, Gwen and her late husband Ian, and also Stuart. Sincere thanks goes to the staff at Pennine Lodge Carlisle, for their care and dedication given to him, especially during his final days. A service of thanksgiving was held at Carlisle Crematorium on Wednesday 20th May 2020.
