RAYMOND WOODHOUSE

WOODHOUSE Raymond (Ray) (Ex BT) Suddenly but peacefully at Salford Royal, Manchester, after a fall in the community on Tuesday 28th January, 2020, aged 82 years. Husband of the late Margaret (nee Hurson), devoted and caring father of Jacqueline and Stephen, treasured and special grandad of Adele and Emma, cherished great-grandad of Grace, Poppy, twins Frankie (Raymond) and Finley and lastly Libby. Dad relocated to his city of birth Manchester 6 years ago to be with his family after living in Carlisle for 56 years after meeting Margaret during his National Service. The last 6 years has enabled him to have so much joy with his family, especially his great-grandchildren. We will truly miss 'Our Rock'. Private Funeral will be held in Manchester. Ashes will be interred at Upperby Cemetery at a later date. Reunited with Mum after a 22 year widowhood.

Sorry to hear about Ray. I remember him first as a child when he and your mum lived in Beverly Rise. Then when we both worked for Mr Griffiths. He was a linesman for maintenance north one (MN1) and I was clerical assistant. I remember your dad as very friendly, always with a smile, a genuinely nice person. My partner also remembers your dad and we both send you our condolences. Tony and Cathryn
