Workington Town have slashed their season ticket prices as they get set to enter League One next term.

The standard adult season ticket, covering the opening 10 league games, is priced at £130, with concessions £85 and children can buy the junior rover pass for £30, which gives them entry home and away.

The club is opening a pop-up shop this weekend in the run-up to Christmas and they will have a range of merchandise on offer, as well as the season tickets.

The shop will be in the former Fashion Lounge unit on Campbell-Savours Way.

It will be open on Saturday, Sunday and Wednesday from 10-4pm. And it will also be open on Christmas Eve until midday.

The new home shirts will be available, priced £45 and £40 for juniors, it is also £40 for a full kit up to age five.

There will also be hoodies, polo shirts and jackets in the new style. And you can pre-order the away shirt.

The club’s director of rugby Les Ashe says they are close to making decisions on the amateur players currently training with the club.

He says they have all been going well and that a couple could be offered the chance to turn professional in the New Year, with others being offered trialist forms to see how they go in the pre-season friendlies.

“Training has been going really well,” said Ashe.

“We have the lads who remained with the club and some new faces, plus the amateurs that are training and the boys Dave Clark brought in from Cumbria Storm, so numbers are good.

"With new people, it always takes some time to bond but it helps that many of the new faces are local lads, so everyone at least knew of each other.”
