Elliott Miller, Glenn Riley and Lewis Brown have already been ruled out.
Full-back Miller wrenched a shoulder at York last week when he went into an awkward position making a tackle.
In the same game, Brown suffered a head injury and protocol demands he has to sit out the next couple of games.
And to top it off, in-form forward Riley damaged a knee and although, and struggled to train this week.
It means new signing Danny Green will be thrown straight in for his pro debut after completing the required paperwork this week.
Coach Carl Forster said: “I hadn’t intended to blood Danny so quickly. He’s a god lad, though, and I’m sure he won’t be phased by it.
“It was too late to bring in anybody else in time, but we are definitely looking at bringing in more bodies over.”
Carl Olstrum, who has been an absentee over the last three weeks, was back in training on Wednesday, but won’t be considered.
Whitehaven already have Dave Allen missing with an ankle injury.
