Tom Dutton, 63, of Bolter End tells us why he loves The Frog at Skirmett where he's been a regular since childhood

Why do you like the pub?

The atmosphere is great. I've been coming here since I was knee-high.

How often do you come here?

As often as possible unless I'm on holiday. Very regularly.

What's your favourite tipple?

Brakspears bitter.

What's the atmosphere like?

Great.

Is there anything unusual about the pub?

Not really apart from some of the locals.

What are the staff like?

Very good. Very conscientious and they keep on their toes. It's always quick service. I used to work behind the bar years ago.

What your most embarrassing moment in the pub?

Years ago before the restaurant was in here we used to fall asleep on the floor in front of the fire.

What's the food like?

Very good. Sunday lunch is lovely.

The Frog at Skirmett has been a hostelry for the past 200 years. It used to be a little village drinking hole, but has been extensively enlarged over the years and now has an unpmarket restaurant area, though the locals' bar is still going strong.
