Six west Cumbrians have been included in the English Lions squad to tour Fiji next month.

Wath Brow coach Ian Rooney heads the touring party, which will play three games against the Islanders.

Rooney has named four of his Hornets team in the squad of 26 – Karl Dixon, Richard Huby, Fran King and Charlie Tomlinson.

Two Egremont players – Rhys Davies and Kieron Glenn – are also included in the squad, which will open the tour on November 12 against East Fiji.

The second game is against West Fiji on November 16 and the tour will end after the final game against the Fully Fiji Residents on November 19.

Shaun Garrod, of top National Conference Premier side Siddal, will captain the touring party and will be accompanied by four of his team-mates.
