The Smurfit Kappa Conway Cup saw Pirelli make their longest journey of the season to Gosforth and progress into the second round of the cup with a fine 4-1 victory.

Andy Lowes got a brace and there was one goal each for Arron Roberts and Jack Dickinson for the visitors.

In Round Two, Silloth progressed at the expense of newcomers Crown Newlaithes with a 3-1 victory. Callum Casson and Lewis Mulla scored for Silloth, with Nico Watt converting a penalty to round off the Silloth scoring. Tom Friend getting the visitors’ goal.

Workington Athletic travelled to Unisun and ran riot with a 14-2 victory with Matthew Perry on target five times. Ashley Kelly scored four and Tommy Whitehead bagged a hat-trick. Paul Benson and Tony Berwick completing the scoring for the away team, with Shane Dorward and Niall Keyes scoring Unisun’s consolation goals.

The Smurfit Kappa Premier League game saw a Leigh Dunn hat-trick give Cleator Moor Celtic all three points over visitors Carlisle City in a 3-0 success.

In Division One, Bransty Rangers made the short trip to Whitehaven AFC Reserves and came away with all three points, winning 3-0 thanks to goals from Dan Fowler, Jamie Thursby and Ryan Cornish.
