Workington Comets boss Laura Morgan expects former star Kyle Howarth to be fired up when he guests for Somerset against her side tonight (7.30pm start).

Howarth left Comets in the winter to join Sheffield and has been in impressive form, notching 15+2 at Plymouth last Friday.

He guests for the hosts' rider Rohan Tungate in the Knock Out Cup clash, with Comets looking to secure a positive result ahead of the second leg at Workington next weekend.

Morgan said: "It's interesting that they've got Kyle Howarth as a guest, who I can't remember pulling any trees up down there but he's doing well for Sheffield.

"He'll be fired up and wanting to prove himself against us, there is no doubt about that.

"It'll be a tough meeting, it always is at Somerset.

"We'll do our best and if we can maintain how we performed at Rye House and carry that momentum into this meeting then who knows.

"We want to keep the score tight."

Comets boast a familiar face of their own for Rebels fans, as Rasmus Jensen was part of their side which won the competition last year.

"Rasmus is going very well and he'll have knowledge of the track which he can pass on," Laura said.

"We've also got Ricky Wells riding who we didn't expect to be because he was going to be practicing at King's Lynn but that's been moved.

"That's a bonus because you always want to have your whole team out, especially when it's the skipper who would be missing."
