Reds currently sit in second place, five points behind leaders Blyth Spartans, and Heathcote says they must take
“The team just has to get out there now, every match is vital and we just have to take one at a time,” said Heathcote.
“Right now our most important game is Whitby on Saturday.
“Our next three league games are against sides towards the bottom end of the table so we have a chance to put some more pressure on clubs at the top.”
But he is also wary that some of these clubs can be fighting for their own survival and nothing can be taken lightly.
He added: “Every game is tough but as long as we concentrate on our game then we have a good chance.
“Every club, despite what the managers might say, wants to get promoted. We all want to be up there because that means you have a successful team and season.”
