Carlisle United showed their support to autistic fans at Saturday's game.

The visit of Cambridge United came on Autistic Supporter Day at Brunton Park.

And in a demonstration of the club's support, captain Sam Lavelle wore noise-cancelling headphones as he lead the team out before the game.

He was joined by a young fan - while visiting skipper Michael Morrison and a young supporter also wore headphones as they took to the pitch.

Ahead of the game, there was also a training session for United's stewards, run by AFC Autism, as well as a social session with autistic before the game as the group then watched the match.

"An amazing first day of helping football clubs become more aware of their autistic supporter needs, with some training for stewards at @officialcufc. Thanks to all involved. A great social session also with some autistic supporters & watching the game afterwards," posted AFC Autism on X.
