Carlisle United have made Sunderland's Jack Diamond their latest January signing - so what can we expect from the winger?

Diamond has made his mark for different clubs in his career so far. Here's a look at some of his goals.

After an initial loan spell at Spennymoor, Diamond joined then National League club Harrogate Town on loan in 2019/20.

His first goal came in the Sulphurites' 2-0 FA Trophy win at Darlington - a swift run and finish after a move involving ex-Blues striker Mark Beck...

Diamond scored four more goals that season, including the clinching third goal via a measured flick in the National League play-off final 3-1 win over Notts County which sent the club into the EFL for the first time.

Diamond began the following season back at his parent club, and early in 2020/21 he scored for Sunderland in a 5-3 EFL Trophy win over Chris Beech's Carlisle - a fierce finish late in the game at the Stadium of Light.

That came in one of his 35 appearances for the Black Cats as they reached the League One play-off semi-finals, his first league goal for the club coming in a 4-0 win at Lincoln City with a stylish finish.

The following campaign then saw Diamond return to Harrogate on loan, and in the first half of the 2021/22 season he claimed five goals for Simon Weaver's side - such as this drilled effort in a 6-1 thrashing of Scunthorpe United...

Diamond then extended his loan for the second half of the season, and Carlisle were again on the receiving end in April when he scored twice in the hosts' 3-0 win against Paul Simpson's side. First, there was this header as he got in front of keeper Mark Howard to nod home...

And then, in the closing stages, Diamond got the better of United again, finishing crisply after a one-two had put him clear...

Last season then saw Diamond step up to League One for his latest loan spell - this time with Lincoln City, which included a memorable hat-trick for the Imps in a 6-3 win at Bristol Rovers. After netting a penalty, he went through to beat the keeper with this composed finish...

...and then this left-footed strike brought up his first career treble:

That was one of eight Lincoln strikes, his most recent coming against Ipswich Town in January 2023 from the penalty spot...

Three months later, Diamond's loan at Sincil Bank was terminated and he was suspended by his parent club after he was charged with rape and sexual assault. His most recent first-team appearance was Lincoln's 2-1 defeat at Fleetwood Town on March 25.

Now, having been cleared of all charges, he resumes his career with the Blues.
