Popular Scottish chart-topping folk band Talisk are set to play in Carlisle in December as part of their worldwide tour.
Mohsen Amini (BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards’ Musician of the Year), Graeme Armstrong and Benedict Morris (BBC Radio Scotland Young Traditional Musician of the Year) fuse concertina, guitar and fiddle to produce a truly innovative, multi-layered signature that has captivated audiences around the globe.
The trio will visit the Old Fire Station in Carlisle on December 14, before jetting off to Ireland and the United States of America next year.
Alongside extensive touring, Talisk have stacked up major awards for their explosively energetic, artfully woven sound - including Folk Band of the Year at the BBC Alba Scots Trad Music Awards, a BBC Radio 2 Folk Award, and the Belhaven Bursary for Innovation.
The band welcomed 2022 with a TV audience of over a million, performing to widespread acclaim on BBC1’s Hogmanay 2022.
Talisk will be supported on the night by country-folk singer-songwriter, Devon Mayson.
Doors open at 7.30pm, with tickets available on the Old Fire Station website for £18.
