WE shared the news that tributes were paid to an adulated Cumbrian vocalist who shot to fame on Britain’s Got Talent following her passing.

Emma Jones, from Wigton, passed away at the Cumberland Infirmary on February, 14 following a battle with cancer.

Judith Yeates said: "She was a much-loved and valued member of our One Voice Multicultural Choir. We’ll all miss her very much but we’re forever thankful that she chose to sing with us.

"Many of us attended her funeral. If numbers were anything to go by, she was very much loved by those who attended, as the church was packed out.

"Such a privilege to have known Emma Jones. May she rest in peace."
