Woman injured after being kicked by horse

A woman suffered leg injuries after being kicked by a horse.

The victim, in her 40s, was airlifted to hospital following the incident at the Chapel Farm riding centre in Bootle, near Millom where she worked.

The Great North Air Ambulance’s Pride of Cumbria was flown to the scene at around 1.45pm today.

Both of the woman’s legs were hurt after she was kicked by the shire horse. Her injuries were not described as life-threatening.
