Woman hurt in gang attack in Carlisle

A woman has been assaulted by three other females in Carlisle.

The attack - which left the 21-year-old victim from the city with cuts and minor bruising - happened at around 5am yesterday, near the junction between Crown Street, off Botchergate, and Currock Road in Currock.

Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward.

They are especially keen to speak to a man in a blue car who stopped near the crime scene.
