Two people needed hospital treatment after an attack in a Carlisle nightclub.

The assault happened near the pool tables in Club Concrete, Lowther Street, in the city centre after midnight on Sunday.

A police spokesman said two people were injured and required medical attention.

He added that it appeared that a single attacker was responsible.

A man has been arrested on suspicion of assault.

Anyone with information should contact police on 101.
