Taxi driver sought as Carlisle police investigate sex attack claim

A taxi driver may hold vital information about an alleged sex attack in Carlisle.

A 17-year-old girl has told police she was assaulted at a house in Aglionby on Saturday, June 14.

A man, 21, from Carlisle, has been arrested and bailed while enquiries continue.

Police are keen to trace a taxi driver who picked up the man and girl on English Street at about 2am and took them to Aglionby.

The car was white in colour.

Anyone who can help should call police on 101 and speak to DC Vicky Hughes.
