Suspended prison term for Cumbrian man caught driving car while banned

A west Cumbrian man has admitted driving a car while banned.

Jonathan Stephen Cullum, 22, of Hinnings Road, Distington, was given a 199 day prison sentence suspended for 12 months, including participation in an alcohol awareness initiative.

He was also ordered to pay £80 costs by West Cumbria Magistrates' Court.

Cullum also admitted being over the drink-drive limit and was banned from driving for four years, driving without insurance and taking a car without consent, which was then damaged.

He was ordered to pay £540 compensation to the owner.
