Carlisle drugs man awaits sentence

A Carlisle man is set to be sentenced after admitting three drugs offences.

Alistair David Pape, 31, of Botcherby Avenue, pleaded guilty at the city’s Crown Court to possessing heroin, a class A drug, and buprenorphin, a class C drug, with intent to supply them.

He also admitted possessing cannabis resin, a class B drug, for his own use.

Pape was remanded on unconditional bail for background reports and will be sentenced on April 1.

The court heard he would probably have to hand over the £580 he had on him when he was arrested.
