Reminder to retune Freeview TV listings
Last updated at 12:26, Saturday, 10 November 2012
TV viewers who use Freeview in parts of Cumbria and south west Scotland will need to retune their equipment later this month.
Technical changes at local transmitters are taking place to free up frequencies for the future introduction of fourth-generation mobile services.
Between now and the end of 2013, similar upgrades will be made at a number of transmitters across the UK to prepare for 4G.
Engineers warned that TV services in some areas will be subject to disruption as channels including BBC One, ITV1, STV, Channel 4 and Channel 5 are moved to new frequencies.
Work is expected to be completed by late afternoon on Wednesday, November 21 and viewers are advised to retune their equipment.
Digital UK is launching an information campaign to make viewers aware of the need to retune, including local advertising and messages on screen.
