Cumbria police are this morning warning drivers to take care in icy conditions.
A number of accidents have been reported across the county.
The A595 road between Egremont and Millom is said to be very icy, with a number of crashes being reported.
An overturned car close to Morass Road, near Beckermet, which was slowing traffic, has been removed.
Elsewhere, at 5.50am, a one car crash was reported at Foxfield, in south Cumbria. There were no injuries. Just over one hour later, a man came came off his motorbike in the same place but was not hurt. A third crash, this involving a BMW car, at Foxfield occurred at 8.14am.
A woman, aged 52, had to be freed from her Suzuki Swift car following a collision between Grizebeck and Broughton-in-Furness at 6.35am. She was not hurt.
Motorists are being advised to take extra care and time with their journeys as the colder weather has resulted in icy patches on the roads.
Drivers should take their time, keep a safe braking distance from the car in front and reduce their speed, say police.
