Police probe Batman assault on three men at charity event

A man dressed as Batman assaulted three men and damaged a car at a charity event.

The victims were left with minor injuries after the attack, which took place at Orchard View Farm, Holmrook, near Gosforth, just before midnight on Saturday.

A red BMW car was left with a metre long scratch on one of its doors.

A man was arrested in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Cumbria police are appealing for information about the incident. Witnesses should call 101.
