Police identify woman found dead in river

Police have named a woman whose body was pulled from a river.

Officers have confirmed the woman found dead today in the River Derwent, near Brigham, is missing woman Margaret Huddart, 80, from Cockermouth.

Police and mountain rescue team members had spotted the body of Mrs Huddart in the water at about 11.45am.

The force earlier said her family was being supported by officers.

Police said they were not treating her death as suspicious.
