Old friends turned enemies and now friends again, Marcus Wareing and Gordon Ramsay, are teaming up for a brand new cookery show.

The collaboration marks the end of their 16-year feud and the start of a fresh venture celebrating home cooking and personal stories.

The show, produced by Mr Ramsay’s production company, will air on BBC Two and will be hosted by Mr Wareing.

Mr Wareing said: "This is a fantastic opportunity to work alongside Gordon again.

"It’s been many years since we last shared a kitchen, and I can’t wait to get started.

"I’m really looking forward to unwrapping the memories from our cooks and taking them on a journey down memory lane."

The daytime series, which has yet to receive a working title and probably won’t air until 2027, will focus on the emotional and personal side of cooking.

Mr Wareing said: "The purpose of the show is to help chefs improve by mastering the simplest things done well, because that’s where the real magic lies.

"Recreating dishes from memories or inspired by loved ones can be truly life-changing and have a lasting impact on their future."

Mr Ramsay also shared his enthusiasm for the new project.

He said: "Every chef knows that food is about more than what’s on the plate.

"It’s about bringing people together and creating connections.

"This new format does exactly that.

"It combines fantastic home cooking with extraordinary human stories and celebrates the kitchen as the heart of every home."
