Man badly hurt in attack outside Carlisle pub

A man suffered “significant facial injuries” after he was attacked outside a pub.

The incident happened outside the Hungry Horse pub, formerly known as The Turf, in Newmarket Road, Carlisle.

The victim was wearing a burgundy T-shirt and blue jeans at the time of the assault.

Police want to speak to anyone who was in the area at about 6pm yesterday and may have witnessed the incident or the moments leading up to it.

The suspect was described as a large man who was wearing a blue T-shirt and blue jeans.
