A woman was taken to hospital after a ceiling collapsed at a Carlisle betting shop.
It happened at the Coral branch in English Street, in the city centre, at about 6.30pm yesterday.
Firefighters from the Carlisle East and Carlisle West stations were called to the scene.
Initially there were reports of smoke, but that turned out to be dust from the ceiling.
A fire service spokesman said that a female member of staff was in the building at the time of the incident.
Although hurt, her injuries were not believed to be serious.
She was taken to hospital to be checked over.
The cause of the ceiling collapse is being investigated.
