A warning has been issued to homeowners to keep their doors locked, after two separate "sneak-in burglaries".
Both incidents occurred in Workington over the weekend, after doors had been left insecure.
Between 11am and 3pm on Sunday, a burglar crept into a home on Cusack Crescent, while the occupier went on a short walk.
Two wifi routers and a sum of money were stolen.
It followed a similar incident the previous day, in Lonsdale Street.
On that occasion, someone entered the house while the occupier was asleep upstairs. Cash was stolen from a purse.
A spokesman for Cumbria Police reminded residents to ensure doors are locked at all times - even when enjoying the summer in the back garden.
Anyone who witnessed either incident is asked to call police on 101.
