A 60-year-old woman was taken to hospital with a suspected fracture dislocation of her lower leg after falling in the Lake District.
Patterdale Mountain Rescue Team (MRT) was called by Cumbria police today following a report that the walker, who was with her husband, had slipped at Kirksty Brow above Ullswater.
The team located the couple on foot and the woman was given analgesia for her pain and treated for a suspected fracture dislocation of the lower leg.
She was then stretchered from the fell and driven in a team ambulance to Dockray, where she was transferred to an ambulance and taken to Carlisle's Cumberland Infirmary Carlisle for further treatment.
Twelve Patterdale volunteers attended the rescue with nine colleagues from Penrith MRT.
