A man has been arrested after a brawl broke out at a Carlisle pub.
The fight at The Joiners Arms, on Church Street, Caldewgate, left two men in hospital with minor injuries.
Police were called to the pub last night around 9.30pm to reports of an assault involving several people.
Following the incident two men, a 57-year-old and a 56-year-old both from Carlisle, were taken to the city's Cumberland Infirmary for treatment.
Police have now arrested a 40-year-old man on suspicion of GBH and ABH in connection with the incident.
The pub has been cordoned off and an ambulance was at the scene at around 10.30pm.
