THREE people have been charged following a robbery in Whitehaven on Monday.

During the alleged incident, at about 5pm in Queen Street, a vulnerable 53-year-old man from Whitehaven was pushed to the floor and £150 was stolen. 

Two men and a woman have today been charged with robbery.

They are Glen Scott, 43, of Bowness Road, Whitehaven, Corrie Cowan, 22, of Bowness Road, Whitehaven, and Michael Roberts, 44, of Common End, Distington. They have all been remanded in custody.

Police say the victim is being supported by specially trained officers.
