Tributes have been paid to a pensioner who died after his car collided with a fence in west Cumbria.
Gordon Robson, 74, of Gameriggs Road, Whitehaven, died on Wednesday following the collision at about 7.30am on the B5345 in St Bees.
He was driving a blue Ford C-Max and died of natural causes rather than as a result of the crash. Police are no longer investigating.
Today, his family released a statement, paying tribute to "a big bubbly softie".
"It is with great sadness that Gordon Robson has tragically been taken from us. ‘Coffee’ as he was known has lived happily with his wife Sally for 13 years," they said.
"He was a big bubbly softie who would never see anyone stuck. Gordon will be painfully missed by his family and friends.”
