Travellers have set up camp in West Cumbria.
A large group of travellers arrived on the sports field at Milltoft in Maryport, next to Lidl, this week.
Allerdale council, which owns the land, said: "Officers have visited the travellers who are currently staying on the land adjacent to the sports pitch on Milltoft Field.
"They have confirmed that there are no animal welfare concerns and are issuing rubbish bags and removing them from the site once they have been filled.
"There is a set legal process that all councils have to follow when dealing with travellers and we are following that process.
"The travellers have said that they are expecting to move on at the end of this week."
