Police are investigating after a 14-year-old boy was attacked in a Carlisle supermarket.
Officers were called to Asda, at St Nicholas Gate, at around 1.40pm today following a report that a teenager had been assaulted.
They are currently trying to find the culprit, who left the scene.
A spokesman for Cumbria police said that the boy was punched in the face by another male, whose age is not yet known.
He was taken to the Cumberland Infirmary after sustaining injuries to his face.
Any witnesses are asked to call 101, quoting log number 96 of February 7.
