Police are appealing for more witnesses to come forward after a disability hate crime incident in Workington.

The incident took place in the area of The Hub, Risman Place on April 13, 2017.

Police officers interviewed a 16-year-old girl following an initial appeal for witnesses. She has been released under investigation as officers continue working with partner agencies.

Police are now appealing for more witnesses to come forward as they know there were other youths in the area at the time.

A spokesman from Cumbria Police said: "They are not being sought as suspects but officers would urge anyone who was there and who is yet to come forward to make contact."

He added that Cumbria Police would not tolerate any racially, religiously and disability related crimes.
