Man treated for smoke inhalation after house fire
A man was treated for smoke inhalation following a house fire in Longtown.
It happened in Dukes Wood Road at 10.04am.
On arrival, fire crews found a mattress on fire in the bedroom.
Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel to extinguish the flames. The fire did not spread.
The man was not badly injured but received treatment for smoke inhalation as a precaution.
The cause of the fire is still being investigated.
