The By-Wise store on Vulcans Lane, Workington.
A west Cumbrian man is due in court today in connection with a robbery at a shop in Workington on bank holiday Monday.
Police last night charged Adam Littleton, 22, of Central Avenue, Egremont with robbery, possession of an offensive weapon and police assault.
He has been remanded to appear at West Allerdale Magistrates Court in Workington.
It follows an incident at the town's By-Wise store in Vulcans Lane on Monday morning.
