A man will appear in court tomorrow following an incident in which armed police were deployed to the Carlisle's railway station.
The armed officers - together with unarmed officers - were called at 8.35pm on Monday to reports of a man behaving in a suspicious manner. Police chiefs say they were deployed as a precaution.
A 32-year-old man was arrested at the scene.
A Cumbria Police spokesman said that Dimitrijs Kasbaskins, of no fixed address, had been charged with a public order offence.
"He has been remanded in custody until his appearance at North Cumbria Magistrates’ Court," he added.
