EMERGENCY services have been at the scene of a crash on the outskirts of Penrith.
A red Kia Picanto, driven by an 86-year-old man from the town, left the road and crashed into a wall at the Milestone House access road to Raiselands.
It happened just before 2pm today.
Firefighters helped the man, who was then handed to the care of paramedics.
Ambulance staff treated him at the scene before he was taken to the Cumberland Infirmary in Carlisle.
It is believed that he has not suffered any serious injuries as a result of the collision.
